Abu Dhabi Police will not spare any effort to protect the environment and keep it clean from the spread of any hazardous material, according to a senior official at the Police directorate.
Director General of Central operations at the Abu Dhabi Police Brigadier Ahmed Nasser Al Reesi said that under the directives of Minister of Interior Lt.General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the AD Police is always prepared to deal with accidents which may cause the spread of hazardous material damaging the environment. The professionalism and technical expertise AD Police have obtained are strong enough to face any such situations, Al Reesi added.
Meanwhile, Director of Emergency and Public Safety at the AD Police Brigadier Khalid Abdul Latif Al Dousiri said that the machinery AD Police owns in the field of environmental protection is the first of its kind in the entire Middle East region. These equipments are capable of containing any hazardous fallouts caused by leakage of chemicals, poisonous gas and inflammable liquids which may cause damage to the environment.
Chief of the technical rescue and fast intervention department at the AD Police, Lt.Col.Mohammed Abdullah Al Nuaimi said that the fleet of vehicles equipped with the specialised machinery is always on alert in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, and a number of similar vehicles will be dispatched soon to the western region.
