The Abu Dhabi Maintenance & Construction Company (Admac) has secured a AED723m ($197m) contract for the construction of sewage works in Abu Dhabi.
The project includes the construction of trunk sewers and associated treated sewage effluent system in Mafraq, Khalifa City and Al-Wathba.
Work is due to begin on February 12 and is scheduled to take 18 months.
US-based Parsons International is the consultant. Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company (ADSSC) is the client.
Admac is also working with Parsons on another project in Al-Bahya and Al-Sadar. The AED88m contract covers surface drainage works. It began in October 2007 and is scheduled to last for 18 months.
